Position Summary
Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs on time, and train Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
What you’ll do- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information, such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs
- 3 years of maintenance experience
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or food equipment
- Strong customer‑service focus and clear, respectful communication skills
- Personal accountability and effective time‑management to meet commitments
- Ability to adapt to changing and competing demands and use solid judgment to prioritize tasks
- Team‑player mentality aligned with servant leadership principles
- Vocational or technical certification in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade (preferred)
- 2‑year vocational or technical trade program completion (preferred)

Hourly wage range: $19.00 – $35.00, with additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
