Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
Position Summary
Ensures safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, and fixtures by following preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines, inspecting, cleaning, and repairing items, documenting wear and tear, gathering capital expense information, recommending repair and replacement needs, and recording maintenance activities.
Performs major and minor repairs employing multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment), diagnosing issues through inspection, operation, or testing, dismantling equipment, removing defective parts, utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and ensuring a prompt response to emergency calls.
Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by providing written and electronic documentation (expense vouchers, work orders, maintenance logs), comparing part prices, ordering and tracking parts, recording purchases, submitting warranty claims, complying with OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring contractor adherence to quality and safety standards, and handling equipment transportation.
Leads and participates in teams, coordinating assignments, providing feedback and support, and modeling adaptability to change or new challenges.
Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs, analyzes information from multiple sources, monitors progress and results, and identifies improvement opportunities.
Promotes compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity, guiding employees in ethical conduct and supporting corrective action plans.
Minimum Qualifications- 2 years of experience in the electrical trade.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in the state of employment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Eligibility for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
- Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
