Business Process Improvement Analyst

Airgas, a leading supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, is hiring an Automation Technician in Tulsa, OK. The role involves installing, servicing, and maintaining CNC plasma and arc welding robotic systems (OTC and Yaskawa) and related electrical/mechanical components. This position requires a strong understanding of electromechanical systems and a commitment to safety and customer excellence.

• Install, configure, and program Controlled Automation CNC plasma cutting equipment and arc welding robotic systems (OTC and Yaskawa).
  Perform system integration and software configuration.
• Perform expert‑level preventive maintenance and diagnostic repairs on electrical and electronic components, mechanical components, fluid power systems, and cutting technology.
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware malfunctions related to robotic controllers and plasma power sources.
• Provide on‑site operator training and generate detailed service reports to maintain accurate equipment histories.
• Collaborate with account managers to identify and sell preventative maintenance contracts and prepare accurate estimates, quotes, and formal proposals for service work.
• Support regional customer base with up to 75% travel, including overnight stays; receive a fully equipped company vehicle, laptop, smartphone, and per diem coverage.

• Experience in electro‑mechanical technology and PLC/HMI system troubleshooting.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to customers and work effectively with sales teams.
• Commitment to OSHA and site‑specific safety regulations.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to meet travel requirements and maintain professional development.

• Experience with Controlled Automation CNC systems and robotic platforms (Yaskawa/OTC).
• Deep understanding of Hypertherm plasma technology.
• Solid grasp of various welding processes.
