Maintenance Technician I / Driver
Temp-to-Hire Position Pay: $21.00 per hour
About the PositionWe are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician I / Driver to perform routine preventive maintenance and general building repairs to help keep our facilities operating safely and efficiently. This position also requires driving a company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and materials to local vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the maintenance department with daily work assignments.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Complete general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs.
- Repair and maintain building fixtures, including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
- Recommend equipment improvements to increase efficiency and performance.
- Select and use the appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for maintenance projects.
- Drive a company vehicle in all weather conditions to transport parts and materials.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and state and local driving regulations.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with the maintenance team.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One to three years of related maintenance experience preferred.
- Valid, unrestricted, non-provisional driver's license required.
- Safe driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase power.
- Knowledge of PVC and general plumbing systems.
- Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Experience working with high-pressure compressors is a plus.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
