RFIP, Inc. is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Low Voltage Structured Cabling Technician to join our team. This role involves installing and servicing structured cabling systems in commercial environments. The ideal candidate is hardworking, takes pride in clean installs, and can work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic)
- Perform commercial cable installations including offices, retail, and industrial sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and project scopes
- Install cable support systems (J-hooks, cable trays, ladder racks, etc.)
- Dress and manage cabling to RFIP quality standards
- Test, troubleshoot, and certify cabling systems
- Maintain job site safety and cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with project managers and team members
- 5+ years of low voltage or structured cabling experience preferred
- Strong understanding of industry standards (TIA/EIA preferred)
- Experience with copper and fiber terminations is a plus
- Ability to use testing and certification tools
- Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Work on ladders, lifts, and in ceilings or tight spaces
- Ability to work on job sites for extended periods
- BICSI Installer or Technician
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Manufacturer certifications (Comm Scope, Panduit, Leviton, etc.)
