Industrial Maintenance Technician

This role supports the smooth and reliable operation of a paper production facility by performing mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery. The Industrial Maintenance Technician diagnoses and repairs equipment issues, performs routine inspections, and ensures that production runs efficiently and safely in a semi climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain consistent output of paper products.
  • Diagnose and repair issues involving 480V, 3-phase motors and related electrical components.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on a variety of machines to extend equipment life and prevent unexpected failures.
  • Maintain, repair, and adjust hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Inspect equipment regularly, identify potential problems, and take corrective action before they impact production.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage to support accurate maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and support continuous operations.
  • Work safely in a non climate-controlled or semi climate-controlled facility, following all safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending and implementing maintenance-related process improvements.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience maintaining industrial machinery.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including work with 480V, 3-phase motors.
  • Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on a variety of machines.
  • Capability to work in a non climate-controlled or semi climate-controlled facility.
  • Willingness and ability to work a 2-2-3 schedule, including regular weekend shifts.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to facility safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Paper manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • High-voltage maintenance experience.
  • Experience with PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Comfort working rotating or extended shifts in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with operators, peers, and supervisors.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and priorities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
