This position is at our 24-7 manufactauring plant in Oklahoma City, and the scheudile will be rotating. Hours are both days 7am to 7pm and overnights 7pm to 7am. Candidate must be able to work a roting scheudile and shift.
American Tissue Industries (a Solaris company) is a paper towel and tissue manufacturer focused on Retail and Commercial premium bath tissues and power towels.
The Maintenance Technician (Electro-Tech) troubleshoots, maintains, tests and repairs electrical, mechanical, Mechatronics, Hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Maintenance Techs apply knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and Mechatronic principals in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skills to support all areas of manufacturing including AC/DC powered drives, servos, electrical and mechanical components, and PLC trouble shooting capabilities.
EssentialFunctions
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment.
- Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures.
- Performs preventive maintenance functions.
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment, including programmable controllers, variable frequency drives, sensors, power supplies, powered and mechanical drives, gauges and test equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical problems occur.
- Assemble electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical principles, using hand tools, powered tools, and measuring instruments.
- Install and maintain electrical/electronic control systems, electro-mechanical systems, and solid state equipment.
- Modify electrical and electro-mechanical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
- Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
- Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electro-mechanical instruments, and/or testing equipment.
- Willing to work over normal shift for break downs or shift coverage with little or no notice.
- Willing and with the ability to work on electrical/electronic/programming issues on all equipment both alone and with electrical engineer.
Education and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical trade position in a highly technicalmanufacturing environment.
- Robot, case packer and wrapper troubleshooting experience.
