Mechanic (2nd Shift) 3 pm-11:30 pm

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring quality vehicle maintenance by performing general and advanced mechanical repairs on all company equipment and vehicles in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. This is a 2nd shift position from 3 pm-11 pm.

• General and advanced repairs of all vehicles and completing all paperwork related to repair orders.
• Repair of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brake repair and replacement as directed.
• Assisting with component rebuilding such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• Welding associated with the above duties.
• Assisting other mechanics as needed and completing special projects for the Shop Supervisor upon request.
• Wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) related to task being performed as well as using all required safety equipment and procedures.
• Maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self and shop areas.
• Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

• Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
• Good safety and driving record.
• Willingness to work nights, overtime, and weekends as required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships.
• Ability to wear a respirator and perform work.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and can work without direct supervision.
• Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment.

• Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100 lbs. of weight frequently.
• Repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders.
• Repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
• Repeatedly use vibration tools.
• Tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
• Repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing, walking, or sitting.
• Repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces.
