Position Summary:

The employee may occasionally be required to supervise a varying number of employees in the overall direction, coordination, and completion of tasks as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must clear all necessary criminal and vehicular background checks.
Must possess and maintain a current Oklahoma license for motor vehicles. Employee must also have a clean driving record.
Must maintain confidential information of a sensitive nature.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Regularly must set up and operate woodworking machines to include but not be limited to, power saws, jointers, radial arm saws, drill presses, and band saws. Occasionally may be required to assist in the installation of glass in windows, doors, and partitions. Occasionally may be required to assist in the replacement and installation of insulating materials in building framework as well as roofs.

Occasionally may be required to assist in the replacement of damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings.

Regularly must work in confined spaces above, below, and at ground level. Must become knowledgeable in the Mid
- Del Schools Confined Spaces Program. Occasionally must work in aerial bucket ladder or cat walk at a height not to exceed 110'.

Must exhibit good communications skills towards Principals, Teachers, Food Service Personnel, Custodians, and Students. Must perform as part of an overall maintenance team working for the timely completion of all assigned tasks, and at times working in different departments. Should be skilled in proper time management. Should develop a working knowledge of vendors, purchase orders, work orders, and call-in work requests.

Shall become proficient in the ability to operate various software programs to, include but not be limited to word processors, spread sheets, and various Access Control Systems via phone communications with software and graphic configurations. May on occasion, work in close relationship with the Director of Maintenance and Construction, and/or Supervisor of Maintenance and Construction, and the Carpentry Foreman in the budgeting, maintenance, repair, and installation of various equipment.

On occasion may be required to assist the Director of Maintenance and Construction, and/or Supervisor of Maintenance and Construction, and the Carpentry Foreman with coordinated planning, designing, and installation of new construction and/or remodel projects.

Shall become knowledgeable in the Mid
- Del Schools Lockout/Tagout Program. Employee shall become responsible for the maintenance of all doors, closures, and locking devices found throughout the District. Shall become skilled in maintaining a key control system (K C 2000) through the use of computer aids for all site throughout the District. Must become skilled in blueprint and representative drawings interpretation of buildings and/or equipment.

Employee shall become responsible for the issuance of key codes for all new and remodel construction projects throughout the District. Employee shall also be responsible for keeping all sites informed of changes in key code policies and shall be responsible for them understanding objectives of new key coding systems. Shall become responsible for all installations of permanent high security keys/cores. Shall aid sites with designating a specific person to be known as their Key Controller and aid in their understanding and implementation of proper key control techniques.

Shall help maintain the integrity of the overall Keying system and its intent as instructed by the Director of Maintenance and Construction;
Supervisor of Maintenance and Construction; and Carpentry Foreman. The employee shall also be able to provide Director/Supervisor/and Foreman pertinent information on the status of the District keying system if requested.

Shall become skilled in the installation, repair, rebuilding, and service of mechanical or electrical locking devices. Shall become skilled in the disassembly of locks to include but not be limited to padlocks, safe locks, and door locks and repair or replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts as necessary. Shall become skilled in inserting new or repaired tumblers into locks to change combinations.

Shall become skilled in cutting new or duplicate keys required throughout the District and maintain records on all new keys cut. Occasionally may be required to move lock pick in cylinder to open lock door locks without keys. Opens safe locks by drilling.

Employee shall become knowledgeable of all purchases made from all vendor accounts assigned to the Locks & Doors section. Employee shall be required to secure price quotes on projects being considered. Employee shall be required to assemble these quotes in a format that can be understood by…
