Job DescriptionThis role focuses on performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems across a busy industrial facility. You will ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing motors, gearboxes, and other critical components, while responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and supporting continuous production operations.
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery and facility systems.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests to restore operations safely and efficiently.
- Inspect, maintain, and replace motors, gearboxes, and other machinery components as needed.
- Use electrical test equipment and hand tools safely and correctly to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and related technical documentation to support troubleshooting and repair work.
- Support maintenance repair activities, including component replacement, adjustments, and calibration.
- Apply preventive maintenance best practices to identify potential failures before they occur.
- Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures when working on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and maintain equipment reliability.
- Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately to support future troubleshooting and compliance.
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience on production or facility equipment.
- Hands-on experience working with motors, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and related technical drawings.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and maintenance repair activities.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical troubleshooting practices.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.80 - $20.05/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
