Commercial Waterproofing Technician
This role focuses on installing and maintaining waterproofing systems on commercial building roofs to protect structures from water intrusion and weather-related damage. You will work as part of a construction and roofing team, using hand tools and waterproofing materials to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities- Apply waterproofing systems to commercial building roofs to prevent leaks and water damage.
- Perform general labor tasks related to construction, roofing, and waterproofing projects.
- Use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively while working on roofs and other elevated surfaces.
- Assist with sheet metal work and related roofing components as needed for waterproofing systems.
- Prepare roof surfaces by cleaning, priming, and ensuring proper conditions for waterproofing application.
- Support painting or coating activities related to roof waterproofing and protection.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily assignments and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and materials.
- Adapt to changing tasks throughout the day and complete work from start of shift until all assigned tasks are finished.
- Experience with waterproofing roofs on commercial buildings.
- Experience in general labor or construction work.
- Knowledge of commercial roofing practices and materials.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Experience with waterproofing products and application techniques.
- Capability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
- Reliability to work a full day from early morning until tasks are completed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with sheet metal work related to roofing and waterproofing.
- Familiarity with painting or coating applications on roofs or building exteriors.
- Previous experience in commercial roofing environments.
- Comfort working as part of a construction crew and following direction from supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Work EnvironmentThis is a field-based role working outdoors on commercial building roofs in all climates and weather conditions. You will typically start at 6:00 AM and work until the day's assignments are finished, with most days lasting around nine hours. The work involves physical activity, including climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods, while using hand tools, roofing materials, waterproofing products, and sheet metal components.
You will work as part of a crew on active construction or roofing sites, following safety protocols and site-specific requirements.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
