Maintenance Technician
This role focuses on maintaining and repairing both production machinery and facility systems in a cool to freezing, FDA-regulated environment. You will troubleshoot and service a variety of industrial equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation to support continuous food production.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery, including blenders, conveyors, AC/DC units, and boilers.
- Carry out building and facility maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and reliable working environment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Use basic hand and power tools to repair, replace, and adjust components as needed.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to identify faults and plan repairs.
- Work safely and effectively in a cool/freezing environment while following all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Support maintenance activities in an FDA-regulated food production facility by adhering to all hygiene and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Document maintenance work performed and communicate equipment status to supervisors and team members.
- Assist with troubleshooting and supporting automation and control systems, as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance within food production environments.
- PLC troubleshooting experience, particularly with industrial automation systems.
- Experience working with food production machinery such as boilers, coolers, conveyors, and blenders.
- Knowledge of 480V motors and 3-phase motors.
- Ammonia refrigeration experience or related certifications.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley systems and controls.
- Experience reading and working from automation and control schematics.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
