Critical Facilities Technician
Insight Global is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician for a top government services client supporting a secure base in Oklahoma City, OK. This technician will be responsible for the hands-on operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the facility's electrical, mechanical, HVAC, control, and life-safety infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on trades professional with experience in a data center or another large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facility.
This person must be comfortable performing equipment rounds, preventive maintenance, work orders, system monitoring, emergency response, and general facility duties.
Day-to-Day:
Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, control, and life-safety systems supporting a fully operational, mission-critical data center Monitor equipment and building systems through a computer Perform rounds, tours, inspections, and equipment readings throughout the site regularly Complete preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining accurate documentation and operating records Spend approximately 10% to 15% of the shift responding to and completing work orders Troubleshoot generators, UPS systems, switch gear, PDUs, batteries, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units, air handlers, pumps, motors, and BAS controls Assist with system recovery when critical issues occur Work closely with the Critical Facilities Leads, and other technicians Perform general facility-support duties as assigned Help maintain continuous site coverage, with at least two technicians required onsite at all times
