Child Welfare Specialist, Level II
This position is open to current OKDHS employees ONLY This position will be located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Annual Salary
- Level II H23B - $40,077.79 + Full State Employee Benefits
- Level III H23C - $43,968.62 + Full State Employee Benefits
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
Travel is OCCASIONAL. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Child Welfare Specialist, Level II
- A bachelor's degree (in any field) to qualify;
- OR One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Child Welfare Specialist, Level III
- A Master's degree;
- OR a Bachelors Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist;
- OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages caseload of youth transitioning to post-secondary education and students currently pursuing post-secondary education.
- Develops and implements individualized education plans and budgets with each student and provides education vouchers.
- Establishes good working relationships with school personnel and community resources and problem solve crisis situations with goal of keeping student in school.
- Assist students with employment readiness.
Preference may be given to candidate who has experience with transition age Foster Care youth, including transition from care planning
