Position: Residential Advisor-8

Monitor and supervise 35-45 youth (ages 17-21) in the Oklahoma Job Challenge Program.

Typical Functions
  • Maintain accountability and discipline within a quasi-military environment.
  • Develop a team-oriented attitude among cadets during the residential phase.
  • Serve as primary instructor for Drill and Ceremony and group living skills.
  • Conduct first‑line counseling and problem solving for Associates.
  • Direct and participate in physical training.
  • Provide transportation and supervision to vocational training.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and evaluations for assigned Associates.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED. Degree not required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
  • Military background preferred but not required.
  • Ability to obtain a CDL.
Special Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
  • Long periods standing/walking indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to climb stairs, run a mile and walk extended distances.
  • Perform pushups, side straddle hops, sit‑ups and other physical training.
Conditions of Employment
  • 12‑month trial period.
  • Background check via NCIC/OSBI.
  • Pre‑employment drug & alcohol screening.
  • Favorable pre‑employment physical.
  • MMPI T1 and child care check.
  • Security clearance (U.S. citizens only).
  • Essential personnel status—work during inclement weather.
  • Shift work and weekends, facility 24/7.
  • Non‑exempt FLSA status.
  • Tobacco and vape free facility.
Pay and Benefits
  • Base salary: $40,000.
