Social Services Specialist IV - H20D
Annual Salary: $51,699.44 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's degree, plus 3 years in professional social work (1 year of professional social work experience may be substituted for 1 year of social service professional administration experience).
- OR a Bachelor's degree, plus 4 years of experience in professional social work (1 year of professional social work experience may be substituted for 1 year of social service professional administration experience).
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, only substituting 1 additional year of experience in professional social work for each year of the Bachelor's degree, plus 4 years of experience in professional social work (1 year of the professional social work experience may be substituted for 1 year of social service professional administration experience)
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership level that provides direct supervision to a unit of lower-level Social Services Specialists within the IV-E Custody Medical Program.
- As a direct supervisor, interviews and selects team applicants; maintains personnel records and completes performance evaluations; trains new staff, performs case reviews; and develops and administers in-service training programs.
- Monitors custody specialists' KIDS/IMS workloads and IV-E reports to maintain equal caseload distribution. Ensures pending IV-E determinations are completed within 45 days. Ensures custody medical determinations are completed within 5 days of receipt of referral. Conducts an audit of employees' IV-E cases on a monthly basis.
- Monthly training based on supervisory audit findings.
Preference may be given to a candidate who has current IV-E Custody Medical experience
