Education:
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Public Health, or Education Qualifications
Required:
Child & Family Services:
At least 2 years of professional work experience focused on services for children and families, family resource centers, or infant/early childhood mental health. Health Equity & Community Health: 2+ years of experience working with health equity, social determinants of health (SDOH), or community engagement strategies. Priority Population & Advocacy Support:
Experience identifying needs at the community and systems level for underrepresented groups (e.g., parents/children with disabilities, racial and ethnic minority populations, homeless families, and former victims of domestic violence or child abuse). Education & Classroom Management:
Relevant background in educational settings, classroom management, or behavioral/public health environments
Position Overview:
The purpose of the CBCAP Program Specialist position is to provide coordination of development, implementation, and support to programs, projects, and initiatives funded through the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Family Support and Prevention Service, CBCAP program
Position Responsibilities:
This position increases the ability to respond to priority populations identified by federal legislation addressing the prevention of child abuse and neglect, known as the Child Abuse Prevention Act (CAPTA), by identifying needs at the community and systems level that are impacting parents, parents and/or children with a disability, racial and ethnic minority populations, members of underserved or underrepresented groups, fathers, homeless families and those at risk for homelessness, unaccompanied homeless youth, and adult former victims of child abuse and neglect or domestic violence
