Social Services Inspector Annual Salary:
  • Level IH22A CAP- $40,899.85 + Full State Employee Benefits
  • Level IIH
    22B CAP- $43,968.62+ Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is extensive. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain required car insurance.

Basic purpose:

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibility for conducting internal and external audits and field investigations and performing federally or state-mandated quality control audits to evaluate the effectiveness of agency programs. Some positions will perform follow-up reviews and advocate for clients and program changes. Duties include investigating welfare fraud and employee violations of agency policy, regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.

Some positions in this job family will conduct investigations and inquiries to protect the rights of clients, act as a client advocate, and file grievances on behalf of clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Social Services Inspector, Level I
  • A bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in investigation, auditing, social work, juvenile justice, personnel administration, law enforcement or child support enforcement, working with persons with intellectual disabilities.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Social Services Inspector, Level II
  • A bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience in investigation, auditing, social work, juvenile justice, personnel administration, law enforcement or child support enforcement, working with persons with intellectual disabilities.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
  • This position with the Provider Relations Department within the ADvantage Waiver of the Medicaid Services Unit is hybrid in-person/telework position depending on the location of the applicant. The candidate will need to provide a high-speed internet connection (not a hot spot) to work remotely. If candidate cannot maintain connectivity they will be required to work from an OKDHS office.

This position will manage and process newly assigned Member cases in the electronic database (Harmony) using the daily assignment report, ensuring compliance with ADvantage Waiver program requirements, with an attention to detail. Maintains a familiarity with Harmony and ICE systems for completion of job duties. Provides support for overflow workload across ADvantage operations as assigned, assisting other functional areas as needed to ensure operational efficiency and continuity of service.

It requires the use of several state database systems to coordinate communications. The ideal candidate will have existing familiarity with these systems and/or be a fast learner on systems of this type.

This position will be completing new Member case processing, including:

  • Provider Question Support (Harmony system)
  • Submit Help Desk tickets requesting additional information or support
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Maintain a high level of professional communication within MSU while using MS Teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference may be given to applicants with previous experience with ADvantage Program and/or the Harmony system.

NECESSARY CONNECTIVITY
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 15 lbs for transporting computer.
  • Must have stable and reliable home internet (high-speed and nota hot spot) for telework or will be required to work in office.
