Fidelity Technologies Corporation is seeking an E-3 Simulator Software Engineer for its program at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK.
Job Responsibilities- Design, develop, integrate, test, and document flight simulator software ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop acceptance test procedures to validate the functionality and performance of software
- Recommend, incorporate, and/or alter new and existing simulator designs and documentation
- Participate in engineering design reviews
- Perform hardware/software integration and testing on maintenance simulator training devices ensuring seamless operation and interaction with other simulator components
- Provide engineering staff with recommendations for software/hardware enhancements by staying updated with the latest advancements in technology for simulator systems
- Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree Aerospace Engineering is welcome with a strong background in software development
- 2 years of software engineering or relative experience required.
- Experience in a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position preferred; experience should include Customer Service and Technical Support, Data Administration, Knowledge Management, Network Services, System Administration, and Systems Security Analysis.
- Proficiency in C/C+
- Familiar with or the ability to learn Fortran, Ada, or proprietary development languages
- Proficiency with Windows/Unix/Linux Operating Systems
- Understanding of computer networking and protocols
- Experience developing device drivers and interfacing with external APIs
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, version control systems, and software testing practices
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality software products in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with Aviation terminology and/or Flight Simulation experience a plus
- Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Meets the Minimum Credential requirements and maintains the minimum training requirements as identified in DoD 8570.01M.
- Possess current certification in CompTIA Security+ or equivalent and maintains necessary certifications (reference the DoD Approved 8570 Baseline IAT-II Certifications).
