Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Software Engineer – Secure Network & Protocols to join the GTE Software Team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position focuses on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) & Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization. The role will primarily support E7 Training System platforms and integrate software solutions such as the E7
IAB (E-7 in a box) program. The engineer will assess current software architecture, documentation, and environments for a seamless transition of upgrade and integration into lab facilities.
All work is 100% onsite. Security clearance eligibility is required. The role is within an Agile and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment.
Position Responsibilities- Develop and maintain software architecture, designs, and documentation.
- Code, integrate and test software components within an Agile scrum team.
- Develop verification plans, test procedures, and environments; execute test procedures and document results.
- Lead technical design for new product development, ensuring customer focus.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and engineering colleagues to decompose system features into backlog items.
- Serve as subject matter expert on software domains, regulations, and processes.
- Research and develop software solutions, documenting outcomes.
Requires US Citizenship to obtain a Secret US Security clearance post start. Must be able to obtain required export controls.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field.
- 8+ years experience in Object-Oriented Programming.
- 8+ years experience programming in C/C++.
- 9+ years related experience or equivalent education.
- Experience with Visual Studio IDE and Git.
- Experience in aerodynamics, guidance & control, sensor modeling, DIS/HLA, electronic warfare, or communications systems.
- Experience integrating fighter platforms and adversary systems onto the network.
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Version One, etc.).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SAFe frameworks.
- Proficiency with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong foundational understanding of software development process fundamentals.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
Min Pay Rate $85 per hour
- Max Pay Rate $90 per hour (USD).
