Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and work in a team environment with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, Dev Sec Ops  and Systems Test, in an Agile software development environment.
  • Participate in the software development cycle, including prototype and graphic user interface design, implementation and delivery of build/test/release.
  • Work with object‑oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML and related technologies (i.e., XPath, XSLT, XSD).
  • Develop enterprise solutions for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) in an SOA environment.
  • Work in a process‑oriented software development environment across the software lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with team members on a regular basis.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and at least 2 years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with Agile software development, object‑oriented architecture and programming, software integration and testing.
  • Experience and proficiency utilizing Java, Java microservices, Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications.
  • Experience with at least two of the following programming or scripting languages:
    Python, Go, C++, C#, Power Shell, VBScript, Bash, or Korn Shell.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies and service providers.
  • Ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Top Secret clearance (must be in‑scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) within a reasonable period of time, prior to commencement of employment and be able to maintain upgraded SAP/PAR while in role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current applicable SAP access.
  • Prior leadership experience using agile development, including participation as Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and/or team member.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM discipline.
  • Experience with at least one of the following databases:
    Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with at least one of the following container management tools:
    Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, Docker Swarm, Nomad, Redhat Open Shift.
  • Experience with application and container security.
  • Experience with Machine Learning model development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Experience with threading, intermediate object‑oriented programming, design patterns, Data Distribution Service (DDS) messaging, web technologies, Unified Modeling Language (UML), database essentials and SQL/No

    SQL.
  • Prior experience using Atlassian Tool Suite, JIRA, Sonar Qube.
Work Conditions

The selected candidate will be required to work full‑time on‑site at the facility; no remote or hybrid telework options are available. An occasional travel requirement up to 10% of the time may be needed.
