Overview
The Leidos Civil NISC IV program is hiring for a Java Developer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City, OK. The candidate will join a team of computer/electronics engineering professionals redesigning and upgrading engineering applications. The role includes development and technical refresh of system software interfaces. This position is on-site.
Location:
FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Candidates must reside in the Oklahoma City area or be willing to relocate prior to start date.
- Participate in all phases of development of application software, including architecture, design, implementation, debugging, validation, and verification with web application and Oracle back-end components.
- Manage the software lifecycle, including requirements, system design, and testing.
- Develop software that interfaces directly with hardware.
- Debug and troubleshoot object-oriented programming tasks.
- Analyze and translate requirements into a system architecture that interfaces with hardware.
- Support Oracle Database and related products, including installation, patching, auditing and security, backup and restoration, and disaster recovery; familiarize with OEM tools/plugins.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Solid programming skills in Java/J2EE with Spring MVC, Spring Security, Java Server Faces, Eclipse/Hibernate/JPA, Oracle PL/SQL, and Secure RESTful APIs/Services.
- Proficiency in developing GUI applications.
- Experience with Agile and Dev Ops methodologies and tools.
- JIRA, Confluence, Git Lab, Liquibase; experience with application containers such as Payara/Web Logic.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust interim clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S. for the past 3 years.
- JQuery/Angular/React experience.
- Experience with web-based application development.
