We're looking for experienced Application Developers to join a major system modernization initiative - replacing legacy pension administration technology with a modern, Azure-hosted platform.
Responsibilities- Design, code, and unit test application components for a major system modernization effort
- Develop, enhance, and maintain application components to meet functional and technical requirements
- Build APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows to support integration across modernized and legacy platforms
- Write clear, actionable user stories and help maintain a prioritized development backlog
- Conduct code reviews and submit pull requests for staff review
- Analyze business processes and translate functional designs, documentation standards, and acceptance criteria into working software
- Translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready code
- Collaborate with technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers throughout the SDLC
- Manage multiple concurrent development tasks while meeting established project timelines
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support legacy system understanding (architecture, dependencies, integration points) as needed during transition
