Roadside Technician Commercial Tires – Oklahoma City, OK

Join The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a Roadside Technician in Oklahoma City, OK. This role focuses on emergency tire support for commercial truck fleets.

The starting pay is $18.00/hr, with potential variations based on experience and market location. Selected candidates may also receive benefits including medical, prescription, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, tuition assistance, sick and vacation time, and tire discounts.

Role Overview

As a roadside technician, you will respond to tire-related failures at customer locations, repairing or changing tires as needed. When not on service calls, duties include mounting orders, maintaining shop cleanliness, and other general tasks.

Shift & Hours

Work involves mandatory on‑call rotations. Technicians must respond to after‑hours service requests (evenings, weekends) with a high acceptance rate. All after‑hours calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums.

Basic Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license meeting commercial driver qualification requirements
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous commercial service tire experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Service commercial tires: dismount, mount, and repair various tire types
  • Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout checks
  • Inflate tires to manufacturer‑specified PSI based on load
  • Follow OSHA regulations and safety protocols, including proper PPE, tire cages, and policy compliance
