Heavy Haul Driver II

Overview

The Heavy Haul Driver II drives a class 8 tractor‑trailers with capacity over 80,000 lb to transport machinery and materials to specified destinations.

• Drive a tractor/trailer open deck combination up to 6 axles.
• Haul over‑size and over‑weight machines up to 60,000 lb.
• Load and unload equipment, ensuring cargo is secured according to FMSCA and WCC CAT requirements.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and report deficiencies through the driver‑vehicle inspection report.
• Operate all construction equipment as required.
• Receive dispatches, load and secure equipment, transport equipment and report the status of all loads through our technology devices.
• Maintain an electronic log in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate with the supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding customers and store operations.
• Work with customers and vendors frequently and follow directions.

• High school diploma or GED with one year of related experience, training, or equivalent combination.
• Class A CDL driver’s license verified through the Motor Vehicle Report and DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card).
• Ability to work effectively with tools and equipment.
• Make accurate independent decisions and perform duties in a timely manner.
• Read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions; write simple correspondence.
• Pass a work‑related pre‑employment physical and complete the Work Steps assessment.
• Flexible in work schedule and able to drive for extended periods of time.
• Required travel up to 100 %.
