Local CDL A or B Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload with forklifts or manually, work in varied weather and noisy environments, and read job‑related documents in English. Carry materials up to 100 lbs and physically capable of long driving hours.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air‑brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Forklift operation skills and ability to work in varied conditions.
• Effective English communication.
• Age 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat), background checks, drug test, E‑Verify, FMCSA Clearinghouse verification, and 1–2 years of commercial driving experience.

• Hazmat endorsement, strong vehicle maintenance skills, multi‑drop delivery experience, fleet management system familiarity, commitment to continuous improvement, and multilingual abilities.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement – Required
• Current DOT Medical Certificate – Required
• Forklift Certification – Preferred
• FMCSA Registration – Required

Long hours, fast‑paced schedules, varied weather, and a 200‑mile radius of travel without overnight stays. Requires safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support.
