Job Summary

Lundy’s Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company, in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Fuel Transport Driver to join the team! The Transport Driver is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering refined fuels using a tanker truck (11,400-gallon capacity). This position requires a Class A CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all city, state, and federal regulations
  • Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads product
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials
  • Plans and accomplishes operational assignments that are varied and moderately complex to complex
  • Gauges tank volumes and tests product quality and specifications of bulk petroleum products while transporting from a variety of locations using a class eight tractor and a tanker trailer
  • Maintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety
  • Maintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven
  • Ensures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
  • Ability to maintain accurate logs and records
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
