Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Responsibilities
- Picking materials according to documentation under supervision, ensuring all items are correctly identified and selected.
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness, including verifying item quantities, labels and packaging integrity.
- Report discrepancies or missing items to leads or supervisors promptly.
- Track inventory usage by accurately completing material movements.
- Assist with basic cycle count tasks (counting items) during scheduled cycle counts.
- Operate measuring and weighing equipment to verify material specifications, reporting any deviations to leads or supervisors for review.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from delivery trucks or storage areas under supervision, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Utilize basic computer skills (EPDS) to input data and access orders as required by warehouse management systems.
- Maintain an organized work area by keeping aisles clear, properly storing materials, and adhering to safety and organizational standards. Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- No prior experience is required; on-the-job training provided.
- Eager to learn and follow instructions with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills to report issues and follow directives.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and warehouse procedures under supervision.
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- ITAR Requirement.
- 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
