Position: Selector (2nd shift)

Summary of Position

The Logistics Center Selector is responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently picking and assembling products to fulfill customer orders based on demand. This position also handles select Value Added Services requested by customers and may include unloading and assembling product from inbound containers to pallets.

Responsibilities
  • Pick, sort, and segregate material from inbound containers and/or warehouse racks and storage locations.
  • Perform basic Value-Added Service tasks for customer orders.
  • Follow safety expectations designated in the Logistics Center.
  • Maintain the Logistics Center condition in accordance with Supply Chain Excellence Audit standards.
  • Promote Shurtape Technologies culture and values by encouraging communication, teamwork, and respectful treatment of all individuals.
  • Safely operate a motorized pallet jack, including pre‑shift inspections, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and all safety rules.
  • Use a warehouse management picking program and follow basic radio frequency device commands.
  • Assemble orders, including performing Value-Added Services such as slip sheets, labeling, placards, specialty pallets, special configurations, UCC
    128 labels, and packing lists.
  • Follow proper picking procedures (scanning, stacking levels, minimizing damage, counting precisely).
  • Adhere to radio frequency scanner and productivity procedures, always being logged into the appropriate computer programs.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
  • Hand stack and/or unload product from containers or trailers onto pallets, and segregate products based on receiving worksheets and stacking configuration.
  • Maintain cleaning standards: remove bands, cardboard, excess shrink film, empty skids, damage, and perform sweeping.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Cycle count locations as directed by system or Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use and read work order selection and product movement computer programs.
  • Operate a motorized pallet jack.
  • Demonstrate the basic requirements for safely operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Apply effective math and counting skills.
  • Maintain a professional attitude toward work and co‑workers.
  • Be punctual and dependable.
  • High School or GED equivalent preferred.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in work order selection and product movement computer programs.
  • Operation of a motorized pallet jack.
  • Safe operation of powered industrial equipment.
  • Strong math and counting skills.
  • Professional attitude and reliability.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Requires hearing, mental, and visual attention.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, lift frequently, and work in dusty environments.
