DescriptionResponsible for the handling and processing of warehouse pick orders; transporting inventory; and maintaining stock in warehouse. This position will require a safety focused employee who has comfortability in a fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
- Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate distribution functions.
- Operates a powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload and load trucks
- Pulls and stages orders for auditing and shipping teams.
- Responsible for conducting pre shift forklift inspections and ensuring forklifts are operated safely and efficiently.
- Ensure damage product is reported and delivered to the proper department for rework.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
- Skilled forklift and reach truck operator (Raymond preferred).
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
- Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
- 6 months or more experience working in shipping or receiving (preferred).
- Basic: RF scanner.
- Forklift Certification (required).
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
- Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; and grip with hand or fingers.
- Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.; push or pull; sit; bend or twist; stoop or crouch; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension; activate foot control.
- Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100lbs.; stand; walk; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; use upper extremities.
- The employee must continually lift or move 10lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with occasional accurate depth perception and distance viewing.
- Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance.
