Order Selector / Warehouse Picker Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Order Selector / Warehouse Picker to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting beverage products, building customer orders on pallets, and preparing completed orders for shipment.
This is a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse position requiring frequent lifting, stacking, bending, reaching, and standing throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working with warehouse equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately pick beverage products by matching product numbers and descriptions using a voice-directed headset system.
- Repetitively lift and hand-stack cases of product weighing up to 50 pounds, including moving products from floor level to overhead.
- Build customer orders on pallets according to established stacking patterns and specifications.
- Operate an electronic pallet jack/walkie-rider to move completed orders safely throughout the warehouse.
- Hand-wrap completed pallets with shrink wrap and apply the appropriate labels.
- Move completed customer orders to the designated loading dock staging area.
- Inspect products and orders for accuracy and quality throughout the picking process.
- Report damaged products, incorrect store numbers, product discrepancies, equipment problems, or other issues to supervision.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform general warehouse housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
- Previous warehouse, order picking, distribution, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately follow product numbers, descriptions, and stacking instructions.
- Comfortable using or learning voice-directed picking technology.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and handle cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and stack products for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate an electric pallet jack/walkie-rider.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
The ideal candidate is someone who is physically capable, reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working at a fast pace. Previous warehouse experience is helpful, but candidates with strong work ethic and experience in other physically demanding environments may also be considered.
Physical Requirements- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and stacking.
- Ability to place cases from floor level to overhead.
- Ability to remain on your feet and actively moving throughout the shift.
- Ability to work safely around warehouse equipment and other employees.
