Accounting & Finance Manager
A growing mid-sized organization is seeking a highly capable and hands-on Accounting & Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations and support continued business growth. This role is ideal for a professional with strong controller-level capabilities—or someone on a clear path toward a Controller position—who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, and partnering cross-functionally with leadership.
Oversee core accounting functions including billing, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and collections
Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Ensure proper sales tax reporting and compliance across jurisdictions
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and financial statements
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation tracking
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts
Coordinate with external auditors and CPA firm for tax filings and audit readiness
Review and support pricing/quoting processes for financial accuracy
Assist with HR-related coordination, including benefits and insurance administration
Support service contract tracking and related financial analysis
Evaluate and improve accounting systems, workflows, and internal controls
Utilize advanced Excel for financial modeling, reporting, and decision support
Partner with leadership and operational teams to support strategic initiatives
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial operations experience
Experience working in small to mid-sized organizations (approximately $20M+ in revenue preferred)
Background in retail, manufacturing, or product-based environments is a plus
Full-cycle accounting experience across multiple functional areas
Demonstrated ability to operate at a Controller level or readiness to step into that role
CPA designation preferred but not required
Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and data analysis
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new ERP/accounting systems
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
