System One is partnering with a manufacturing client to identify a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing the company's Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, IT, and Administrative functions while serving as a key member of the management team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger, fixed assets, and internal controls.
- Prepare and oversee monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage banking relationships, daily cash reporting, treasury activities, merchant services, and PCI compliance.
- Oversee annual financial audits, tax reporting, property tax filings, workers' compensation, OSHA reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Administer commercial insurance programs, including renewals, claims, and workers' compensation.
- Provide oversight of Human Resources, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, handbook maintenance, performance management, job descriptions, and partnership with Paychex HR.
- Oversee IT operations by coordinating with external consultants, managing hardware/software upgrades, and supporting company technology needs.
- Supervise the Accounting team, Administrative/Reception staff, and Housekeeping personnel.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic planning, operational improvements, and company-wide processes.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, including CFO-level responsibilities.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits, cash management, commercial insurance, internal controls, and GAAP.
- Prior Human Resources leadership experience required.
- Experience managing IT functions and vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and standard business software.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and team management skills with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
