Junior Accountant

A reputable accounting firm in the US is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with general accounting duties, including preparing and maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with tax preparation. This is a contract position with a salary of $1100 per month.

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with tax preparation and filing
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy
• Assist with month-end close procedures
• Prepare financial reports for management review
• Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks accurately and timely

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting or finance (internship experience will be considered)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (Quickbooks preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• CPA certification or working towards certification
• Experience with tax preparation software (e.g. Turbo Tax)
• Experience working in a public accounting firm or similar environment
