About the Role
The Business Development Intern will work closely with the Commercial team to support initiatives that improve efficiency, clarity, and impact across Lucem Health’s commercial efforts. This role is designed for a highly organized, analytical college student interested in healthcare innovation, business strategy, and how early‑stage health technology companies operate day to day.
The intern will help translate complex, cross‑functional work into clear insights and organized systems—supporting commercial strategy, conference preparation and follow‑up, CRM and pipeline operations, and internal process improvement. Responsibilities will be prioritized based on business needs and the intern’s strengths, with a core focus on conference support, commercial operations, and strategic research.
Details- Location: Remote (TX,NC,NY preferred)
- Time Commitment: 10‑20 hours per week
- Compensation: $20/hour
- Support commercial strategy and research
, including research on health systems, life sciences partners, competitors, and market trends; synthesize findings into concise, executive‑ready summaries. - Support conference planning and follow‑up
, including pre‑conference research on attendees and priority accounts, tracking meetings and conversations, and summarizing key takeaways and follow‑up actions after events. - Support commercial infrastructure and operations
, including CRM (Hub Spot) data hygiene, contact and account deduplication, pipeline tracking, and deal‑stage documentation. - Support cross‑functional coordination by organizing documentation, timelines, and shared resources used across Commercial, Marketing, and Leadership teams.
- Help build andmaintaininternal knowledge repositories
, including partner profiles, conference learnings, templates, and documented processes. - Leverage existing AI tools (with guidance) to support research, synthesis, documentation, and internal reporting, and help standardize repeatable workflows.
- Provide general support on strategic projects and special initiatives as needed to support evolving business priorities.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date of 2026 or later.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize information and translate complex topics into clear, concise summaries.
- High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and learning new tools.
- Self‑starter with strong follow‑through.
- Interest in healthcare, technology, business strategy, or operations.
- Previous internship, coursework, or leadership experience in business, operations, healthcare, or technology.
- Experience with research, documentation, or project coordination.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Hub Spot), Excel/Google Sheets, or presentation tools.
- Interest in healthcare innovation, AI in healthcare, or digital health startups.
