The Concrete Boom Pump Operator plays a critical role in the construction industry by safely and efficiently operating concrete boom pumps to deliver concrete to precise locations on job sites. This position requires the operator to manage the setup, operation, and breakdown of the boom pump equipment, ensuring that concrete is placed accurately according to project specifications. The operator must coordinate closely with site supervisors, concrete truck drivers, and other construction personnel to maintain workflow continuity and meet project deadlines.

Safety is paramount, as the operator must adhere to all regulatory and company safety standards to prevent accidents and equipment damage. Ultimately, the role ensures that concrete placement is executed smoothly, contributing to the structural integrity and timely completion of construction projects across various environments in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by state regulations.
  • Proven experience operating concrete boom pumps or similar heavy construction equipment.
  • Strong understanding of concrete placement techniques and construction site safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints related to concrete placement.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification from a recognized concrete pump operator training program.

  • Collaborate with concrete truck drivers and site personnel to coordinate concrete delivery schedules and placement.
  • Monitor the boom pump operation continuously to detect and resolve any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of pump operation times, maintenance activities, and any incidents or delays.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols to minimize risks to personnel and equipment during operation.
  • Assist in the disassembly and cleaning of the boom pump equipment after job completion.
