Job Description

Desk Clerks for the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department (OTRD) are the public facing customer service representatives in the park’s front office, lodge or golf pro shop. They are responsible for providing customers with requested information or assistance concerning services or directing requests to those who can provide the service.

Responsibilities
  • Answer phones, take messages, and provide information about location facilities.
  • Receive walk‑in and phone‑in reservation requests.
  • Check guests into reservations, validate parking.
  • Post charges to guest accounts, including necessary corrections and transfers.
  • Collect charges, process credit card vouchers, and close guest accounts.
  • Check in/out recreation equipment, golf carts, etc. to guests.
  • Assist with gift shop sales and restock merchandise.
  • Prepare various reports under general direction.
  • Prepare correspondence, monthly reports, and other documents using office equipment and software programs.
  • Perform general housekeeping in public areas.
  • Perform other duties assigned to support daily operations and agency needs.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Two (2) years of experience in sales, public contact work, handling and processing mail, or general office clerical work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements

Scheduled hours will require flexibility, including holidays, weekends, or events, based on the needs of the agency. Some locations may require an employee to possess a valid Driver’s License.
