Dental Assistant-Oral Surgery

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant-Oral Surgery to join their team. As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will be part of the Oral Surgery Department supporting dental residents and students. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong ability to operate standard office equipment, and a commitment to patient care which will align successfully in the organization.

Certified Dental Assistant-Oral Surgery

Brooklyn, New York

$28-32 per hour

• Provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents and students.
• Assist in the administration of IV sedation and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
• Perform tests and assist with preparing dental castings.
• Dispense medications and provide instructions to patients.
• Ensure safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals or hazardous materials.

• 2+ years of related experience in dental assisting.
• Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program.
• Knowledge of four-handed chairside dental techniques and dental lab equipment.
• 1-2 years of oral surgery experience with IV sedation/general anesthesia.
• Preferred:
  Certification as a Dental Assistant.
