Agricultural Education Teacher

Location: Coalgate

Coalgate FFA is accepting applications for an ag-ed instructor and FFA advisor for the  school year. Coalgate FFA is a very well rounded program that strives for excellence in all areas of the program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for our greenhouse, and supervise cattle and goat SAE's as well as coach several CDE teams. Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education or a related field

* Valid Oklahoma teaching certification in Agricultural Education (or in the active process of obtaining)

Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of modern agriculture practices, animal science, plant science, ag mechanics, and ag business

* Strong classroom management and communication skills

* Ability to lead and continue growing an active and competitive FFA program

* Willingness to supervise SAEs (Supervised Agricultural Experiences) and travel for contests, conventions, and events

* Experience with welding, small engine repair, or other hands-on ag mechanics is a plus

* Positive, student-centered attitude with a commitment to career and technical education
