Adjunct- School of Bus Finance and Accounting

Location: Oklahoma City

POSITION SUMMARY:

Mid-America University is seeking a part-time faculty member with experience in teaching either in person or online for undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and accounting. The candidate must have a strong Christian background.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach courses within the School of Business as assigned by the Chair and/or Finance and Accounting Program Director
• Provide quality instruction by following the instructor's agreement contract criteria for performance
• Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
• Effectively communicate with the Chair and/or Finance and Accounting Program Director regularly
• Perform other such duties as may be deemed appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess excellent communication, both oral and written, and organizational skills necessary for the position
• Must possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with individuals and groups
• Must be flexible in scheduling,
• Demonstrate effective teaching skills
• Prefer teaching experience in teaching finance and accounting courses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Doctorate in business or related field in finance or accounting preferred, must have at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in finance or accounting.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Experience with interactive computer programs (e.g., Zoom)
• Experience with either Canvas, D2L, or Blackboard- MACU utilizes Canvas
