About the RoleA highly regarded and sought-after primary school in Blackburn is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join from September 2026. This part‑time role offers the opportunity to lead and develop SEND provision within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
You will play a central role in ensuring high-quality support for pupils with additional needs, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to promote strong outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities- Lead SEND provision across the school
- Oversee EHCP applications, reviews, and compliance
- Support and advise teaching staff on effective SEN strategies
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Monitor pupil progress and impact of interventions
- Contribute to whole-school inclusion and development plans
- Qualified teacher with SENCO experience or NASENCO qualification (or working towards)
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Primary school experience essential
- Passionate about inclusion and pupil progress
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- 3 flexible working days per week
