Overview
Incumbent will create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment to ensure the holistic development of each student and staff member through cultural, social, spiritual, physical and academic experience.
Incumbent will support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission, which is to provide high quality education opportunities from early childhood through life while considering a tribe’s need for cultural and economic well-being.

- Support the BIE mission to provide high quality education opportunities.
- High School or GED diploma is required.
- Level 02 incumbent must have a minimum of one year’s experience in general maintenance or related work, demonstrating skill in at least three skill/craft areas.
The School Maintenance Worker works both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather. The incumbent will frequently stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, sit, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel and reach in the normal course of their workday. At times, the incumbent will spend prolonged periods of time standing, walking, sitting, pushing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
