Assistant/Associate Management Professor
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Management will:
Promote excellence in teaching, research, and service, supporting the mission of Langston University as an HBCU.
Foster an inclusive learning environment that inspires students from diverse backgrounds.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to advance the strategic goals of the School of Business.
Participate actively in faculty meetings, curriculum planning, and accreditation processes.
Serving as a role model for ethical behavior, integrity, and professionalism reflects Langston's values.
Engage in professional development to stay current with advancements in supply chain management, data analytics, and business education.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain Management and Data Analytics, with a standard teaching load of 5/4 courses per semester or 27 credit hours annually. Courses will be offered in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
- Engage in innovative and original scholarly research contributing to supply chain management and data analytics.
- Develop and implement micro-credentialing and certificate programs in supply chain management and data analytics to align with industry needs.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Actively participate in recruiting efforts to attract students to the business program and the School of Business.
- Represent Langston University as a media and community supply chain management and data analytics expert.
- Support curriculum development efforts to maintain ACBSP accreditation standards.
- Reports to the Dean of the Business School and may coordinate with other departmental advisors and faculty.
Required qualifications include:
- Master's degree in Business Analytics, Leadership, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Industry experience in supply chain management or data analytics
- Evidence of ability to produce innovative scholarly research
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in supply chain management, data analytics or related fields
Preferred qualifications include:
- PH.D./Ed.D. in Business, Leadership, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or related field (completed at time of hire)
- Experience in developing micro-credentialing or certificate programs
Certifications, registrations, and/or licenses:
- Professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or equivalent in data analytics.
Skills, proficiencies, and/or knowledge:
- Proven ability to engage with media and community audiences as a thought leader in supply chain management and data analytics.
