Position: Full time High School Math Teacher
Location: Beggs

Beggs High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Math Teacher to teach upper-level mathematics courses, including Algebra II and beyond. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented educator who prioritizes student learning, demonstrates strong classroom management skills, and maintains a high level of professionalism, responsibility, and work ethic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach upper-level high school math courses, including Algebra II and potentially Geometry, Pre-Calculus, or other advanced math classes
  • Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior
  • Establish and enforce clear classroom expectations to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to improve student outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders
  • Participate in professional development and school activities as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Valid state teaching certification in Mathematics (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong content knowledge in Algebra II and higher-level mathematics
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
