• Creating a flexible, school-age based program and a classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
• Establishing effective rapport with pupils, motivating them to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for college, careers, and citizenship.
• Maintaining school relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community.
• Preparing, administering, and correcting tests; recording results.
• Assigning lessons, correcting papers, and other academic duties.
• Teaching rules of conduct, maintaining order in the classroom and on school grounds.
• Counseling pupils on adjustment and academic problems; discussing pupil attitudes and achievements with parents.
• Keeping attendance and grade records as required by school.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university and a valid Mild/Moderate SPED certification. Additional Elementary Education certifications are a plus.

• Regular attendance following a designated work schedule.
• Ability to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required.
• Availability to attend and participate in meetings and conferences scheduled.
