DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Full Time Cultural Instructor to join our Cultural Resources Unit team located at the Chickasaw Cultural Center working.
Summary:
Networking to share your skills, knowledge, techniques and educate the community to preserve the Chickasaw historic cultural preservation.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct cultural presentations, classes, and demonstrations to educate the community to preserve Chickasaw history and culture
* Actively participates in Cultural Resources staff during Chickasaw Cultural Center and Dance Troupe events/activities/games
* Ensures level of adequate of staffing for cultural events and activities
* Works in collaboration to support productivity and safety of the work area, team members and the public
* Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies - May maintain sign-in and sign-out logs with identification numbers
* Maintains professionalism and punctuality in assigned work schedule
* Prepares reports as needed or requested
* Performs all other duties as assigned

* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral
* Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements
* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability
* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines
* Knowledge of Chickasaw history and culture
* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management
Skills:
* Basic Computer skills
Experience:
* 2 years directly related experience
Education:
* High School, GED or Equivalent
* Chickasaw cultural and linguistic background and/or genuine exhibited interest in Chickasaw historical and cultural preservation
* Bachelors of Science or Art degree in History or related field from an accredited college or university, with at least two-years work experience in cultural preservation or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Credentials:
* Pass general background check
* Standard Driver's License
* CN Core Leadership Level 1
Working Conditions:
* Outside, all weather conditions
* Team-oriented
* Must be flexible with work schedule
* Pass pre-employment drug test
Training:
It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
