Incumbent will support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission, which is to provide high quality education opportunities from early childhood through life while considering a tribe’s need for cultural and economic well-being.

  High school or GED diploma
• Experience:
  
  one-year related experience.
• Successful completion of a one-year (two semester) or longer full-time training program in food service management may be substituted for the one-year experience requirement.

Incumbent must be able to lift over 50 pounds and be in excellent physical condition. Most of the work is performed in the kitchen area and is usually overheated and noisy. Floors may be wet and slippery. Cooks will be exposed to extreme temperature changes while working in refrigerated or freezer units.
