ABOUT THE DR. ROGER ARLINER YOUNG FELLOWSHIP

In an effort to make the conservation and clean energy fields more equitable and accessible, the Dr. Roger Arliner Young (RAY) Fellowship Program aims to increase and facilitate environmentally-related career pathways for emerging leaders. The RAY Fellowship Program is a paid fellowship designed to equip recent college graduates with the tools, experiences, support, and community they need to become leaders in the conservation and clean energy sectors—one that, in our visions of the future, fully represents, includes, and is led by the diverse communities, perspectives, and experiences of the United States.

ABOUT NORTHEAST ENERGY EFFICIENCY PARTNERSHIPS (NEEP)

Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP), founded in 1996, is a non‑partisan, non‑profit organization that works to accelerate energy efficiency across the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic region. For nearly 30 years, NEEP has convened policymakers, industry, contractors, utilities, program administrators, and communities to transform the energy efficiency market with a collaborative, regional approach. NEEP drives regional collaboration and best practices in energy efficiency so the region can lower energy bills, reduce air and carbon pollution, create jobs, and improve energy and climate resilience.

We envision the region’s homes, buildings, businesses, and communities transformed into efficient, affordable, low‑carbon, resilient places to live, work, and play.

NEEP’s most valuable resource is our team. We represent a diverse mosaic of backgrounds, ideas, perspectives, and life experiences. The thing that unites us is our common mission to accelerate building energy efficiency, electrification, and grid‑flexibility across Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic states as a core strategy to reduce climate pollution and build an affordable, sustainable, and resilient energy future. We’ve nurtured an environment that values creative thinking and well‑informed decision‑making, embracing diversity and inclusivity.

Our leadership places a strong emphasis on transparency, accessibility, authenticity, and the growth of our employees.

NEEP is a remote‑first organization, which allows our employees to work in any of NEEP’s 13 states/jurisdictions in the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic region.

POSITION SUMMARY

NEEP seeks candidates interested in energy efficiency, clean energy and climate technology solutions. This position is a key member of NEEP’s Technology Market Transformation team, which works collaboratively with industry, utilities, states, and federal agencies to accelerate the regional market adoption of energy‑efficient, low‑carbon building technologies and practices. This role supports research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement to advance energy efficiency goals.

The Fellow will conduct market research, analyze market trends, support NEEP’s working groups by facilitating meetings and outcomes, conduct stakeholder engagement, and support written publications and communication.
