About the role
Travel Wind Technician I

As a Wind Technician Level 1, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing wind turbines. This position is designed for technicians with prior experience in wind turbine maintenance who are seeking to expand their career in renewable energy.

Please note:

This position is based in Canada and is open to applicants who are legally authorized to work in Canada. RNWBL does not sponsor work visas for this role. Applicants who do not meet this eligibility requirement will not be considered.

What You'll Do
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of wind turbines.
  • Conduct inspections to identify wear and tear and recommend proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure tools and equipment are in top working condition.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to meet project timelines and safety standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience as a wind technician (required).
  • Preferred Certification: GE 1X and 2X LOTO Certifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work at heights exceeding 300 feet and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
