Job SummaryThe Electrical Engineer designs, maintains, and improves electrical systems and controls supporting manufacturing operations. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency through hands‑on engineering support, the development of preventive maintenance, automation programming, and compliance with electrical standards.
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, and manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair issues involving motors, control panels, transformers, lighting, and automation systems.
- Develop and enhance preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Program, test, and maintain PLC and HMI systems for manufacturing automation.
- Support electrical and controls‑related process improvements and engineering projects.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Assist with procurement and management of electrical parts, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and applicable electrical and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, documentation, and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems design, PLC/HMI programming, and industrial controls.
- At least 5 years of leadership or project management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control circuits, and safety practices.
- Proficiency with PLC/HMI platforms (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, IEC, and IEEE standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. The role requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
